HORROCKS & CO serving the entire Golden Horseshoe area in Ontario,Canada Horrocks & Co. has been in business for over 20 years and is now a leader in the decorative painting industry. We strive to provide great service, creative, unique, and durable products, while keeping a keen eye on environmentally friendly innovations. Our first products included such decorative finishes as simple glazes and textures, Venetian plaster and complex wood graining. Although these finishes have changed in style and popularity over the years, they still remain the foundation for the finishes we create today: glaze, texture, metallic, and wood. With a full-time staff artist holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts from McMaster University, we have diversified our product to offer custom art in acrylic, oil, and textile. Innovation and the environment are our top priorities. We are constantly developing new products for our customers and currently 80 percent of our finishes sold have been created in the past three years. We have been using low VOC (volatile organic compound) paints since 1998. To reduce our consumption of fossil fuels, in 2006 we replaced our large operating vans to more fuel efficient mini-vans and also purchased a hybrid vehicle in 2008 for our studio support staff. In addition we operate our studio power on low impact hydro and wind sources. We have developed many new finishes which employ the use of recycled or reused materials and our inventories are donated to local charities.
