THE DECO ILLUSIONS TEAM:
RICHARD FISCHER Artisan, Richard C. Fischer is the owner and principal designer of Deco Illusions. Richard studied and worked as an apprentice under some of the best master artisans from Europe and the United States and he has worked on projects throughout the country with several industry leaders in the trade starting with Pro Faux Inc. in 1995. Having a passion for creating European-inspired decorative finishes and artistry of all kinds and driven by the deep appreciation for the history behind these finishes, Richard and his colleague’s enjoy working with Architects, Designers and the client to produce unique looks and finishes which use products and techniques that are similar to their historical equivalent.
Well known and valued in the community of Ft. Wayne In. and the surrounding tri-state area for their expansive list of decorative finishes which can be created on almost any surface. Walls, floors, ceilings, prefabricated panels, architectural ornamentation and inlays, custom furniture and cabinetry and custom concrete countertops are all blank canvases to the Deco Illusion team. Today Deco Illusions specializes in historical and architectural finishes, for both residential and commercial clients, with over 300,000 square feet of decorative finishes installed across the continental United States.
TEACHING
Richard has also been involved in the education of his trade teaching at national trade shows and events as well as in his studio. Their studio offers 6,000 square feet are for a showroom, education and production area where concepts are prefabricated and shipped (anywhere) for installation. Deco Illusions produces their own custom inlays and molds for fireplace mantels, columns and architectural ornamentation and is a leader in casted concrete countertops, incorporating concrete into furniture pieces, sculptures and water features to name just a few. The company takes pride in their use of only the best materials that are also environmentally conscious. The design possibilities are infinite with this collaboration of talents, knowledge, experience and passion in the artisans of Deco Illusions.
